DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

JOB DESCRIPTION

Director of Marketing needed in our Connecticut headquarters.  The Director of Marketing will provide leadership and coordination of company marketing functions.  Responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing strategy.  Monitor and analyze marketing objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create marketing strategy to recruit multi-state volunteer teams.

  • Recruit build, train, supervise, and evaluate successful multi-state Community Organizing teams.

  • Create training manuals.

  • Direct and coordinate company marketing functions utilizing existing CRM marketing software.

  • Develop and coordinate marketing cycle and methodology.

  • Direct & oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new opportunities for community organizing  efforts.

  • Research & develop strategies & plans which identify marketing opportunities including, the internet, social media, direct email campaigns, telemarketing, special events and conventions.

  • Research & develop strategies & plans which identify new project development.

  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, methods, costs, and results.

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.

  • Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach.

  • Directly manage major and critical developing opportunity accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.

  • Develop and implement 1,3 and 5-year marketing plans including: goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

  • Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.

  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings, civic and other public relations activities to promote the company.

  • Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.

  • Promote positive relations with partners.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.

  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.

  • Knowledge of structuring performance goals.

  • Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing Required.

  • 1-3 years of Marketing Experience Preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an Christian office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
